Khazanah Nasional Berhad (“Khazanah”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop as Khazanah’s Deputy Chairman effective on 3 June 2013. Tan Sri Nor’s appointment was nominated by Prime Minister and Chairman of Khazanah, YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Hj. Abdul Razak.
Tan Sri Nor, who joined Khazanah’s Board of Directors on 12 November 2002, will also be appointed as the Chairman of the upcoming Khazanah Research Institute (“KRiS”).
The Board of Khazanah at its meeting in December 2012 had resolved for the existing functions of the Khazanah Research Division, which has been in operation since 2004, to evolve into a research institute as KRiS to provide research and analysis on matters related to Khazanah and the nation’s ongoing economic development.
